Hunter Museum

S and I took advantage of the Hunter Museum of American Art’s free first Sunday in January. As long as I have lived here I have never been to the museum located in the Bluff View district of Chattanooga. The museum is housed in two buildings, an historic mansion and a contemporary building.

There is a wide variety of art to explore and an exhibit area that changes periodically. The glass art of Paul Stankard is here until April 21, 2013. These are beautiful and amazing glass paperweights.

Take a little stroll down the street to Rembrandt’s for some incredible chocolates and coffee. S loves the colossal chocolate chip cookies!

I was a great first visit and it is something we will do again. And you can’t go wrong with free admission!
